Required Skills/Experience:

• Strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or willingness to work with difficult cases.
• Will not accept OR candidates.
• Must have acute care surgical floor experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• ENT and/or transplant experience preferred.
• Preceptor and charge experience preferred.

Required Credentials:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Credentials:

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.

Unit Details:

• OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is Oklahoma's only Level I Trauma Center.
• Mixed Med/Surg and Stepdown surgical transplant unit.
• Cares for post-surgical kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients, as well as pre-transplant patients undergoing inpatient evaluation.
• Patients require close monitoring for infection, rejection, and timely medication delivery.
• This is not a PACU position.
• Nurses on this floor may work either Med/Surg or Stepdown patients depending on unit availability.

Floating Requirements:

• Travelers will be first to float.
