Required Skills/Experience:
Must have acute care surgical floor experience.
OR candidates will not be accepted.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases.
ENT and/or transplant experience preferred.
Preceptor and charge experience preferred.

Required Credentials:
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Credentials:
Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.

Unit Details:
4W Surgical Transplant combines medical-surgical and step-down care within an acute-care floor and cares for post-surgical kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients.
The unit also cares for pre-transplant patients being evaluated during an inpatient stay.
Patients require close monitoring for infection, rejection, and timely medication delivery.
This is not a PACU position.

Floating Requirements:
Travelers will be first to float.
Depending on nurse availability, nurses may work on either the medical-surgical or step-down side.
When staffing is short, ICU nurses may float down to work with step-down patients based on acuity and skill set.
