Required Skills/Experience:
Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Special Requests:
Cannot apply to more than one position at a time within the WVU system.

Unit Details:
Ratios 1:4-5; if MedSurg acuity, 1:6.
Night charge nurse may have an assignment.
No CNA at night after 11p.
Monitor tech on unit; serves as the central monitor station for the hospital.
Must be able to titrate Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin drips; insulin is set-rate only. No sedation drips.
Uses BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen.
Heavy cardiac population with dysrhythmias, CVAs, mixed stepdown cases, and patients downgraded from ICU.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend: Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
Every other holiday; works into permanent staff holiday rotation.

Floating Requirements:
Could float to ICU as helping hands.
