Required Skills/Experience:
Experience with post-procedural cath lab patients, management of TR Band compression devices, management of chest pain, and post-cardiac-surgical patients.

Special Requests:
Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well.

Block scheduling is available if it meets unit needs, but it is generally not guaranteed in contract agreements.

Unit Details:
Patient ratios are 1:4 on days through 2300 and 1:5-6 on nights after 2300.
Patients include cardiac medical and surgical cases, including post-cath-lab stent, pacemaker, ICD, Watchman, MitraClip, and TAVR cases; post-cardiac-surgery CABG and valve replacement cases; and patients with AFib, chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, syncope, and bradycardia requiring a temporary pacemaker.
RNs are required to titrate drips; however, there are no vasopressors.
Common titratable and set-rate drips include nitroglycerin, heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and dobutamine.
A 24/7 central telemetry unit monitors all non-critical-care patients and performs the strips.
RT is available 24/7 and provides nebulizers and inhalers. RNs are responsible for incentive spirometry. RT assists with CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm/high-flow.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend and every other holiday is required.
Self-scheduling is not available.
A Friday/Saturday/Sunday schedule option is available.
No call is required unless it is an extra shift.

Floating Requirements:
Floating is required as needed based on unit census.
