References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have mother-baby experience; Okay with a first time traveler. Must have experience and be able to attend deliveries and complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, Circulate C/S, and provide Postpartum Couplet Care. Must have experience with magnesium.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Charge nurse experience preferred. 1 year experience preferred.
Special Requests: cannot work 6 shifts in a row. Travel duos need 2 cars and cannot share 1 car because they may be at different sites or float during the shift.
Unit Details: Patient population includes 32-week gestation and greater, hypertension on magnesium, BACs, TOLACs, some gestational diabetes, and some antepartum patients; does not take placenta previa or placenta accreta.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekends as needed. First schedule fills unit needs; later schedules may include preferences, but schedules are built around core staff. No minimum weekend requirement; based on unit needs and requests. May work a holiday if needed during the contract.
Floating Requirements: First to float. Float to all St. Luke's Treasure Valley sites—Meridian, Nampa, and Boise—in primary skill set (L&D, postpartum, or antepartum) or as a sitter.
Required Credentials: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
Previous Employment Requirements: Previous employees may be considered only with exception approval from St. Luke’s Health System.
