Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- 24 months of Medical Surgical, IMCU, Stepdown, or Progressive Care experience in a hospital or medical center setting.
- Neurology/neurosurgery care experience required.
- Ortho/orthopedic care experience required.
- Drip experience with Heparin, PCA, and 3% Sodium/Na required.
- EKG/strip reading and measuring/telemetry experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Trauma care experience highly preferred.
- Experience with telemetry, lift equipment, chest tubes, and Airvo highly preferred.
Preferred Credentials:
- De-escalation certificate preferred; CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA accepted.
Special Requests:
- Past UPH FTE or PRN float pool employees cannot work travel in another market if they currently work there or worked there within the past 12 months; this does not apply to prior UPH travel employees.

Unit Details:
- Heavy neuro trauma, neurosurgery, craniectomy, and orthopedic patient population.
- References may be charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference
Shift & Scheduling:
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
- Every 3rd weekend.
- No call.
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
Floating Requirements:
- Required to float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and MWH.
