Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Heart monitor interpretation, trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, phlebotomy, and post-op heart surgery experience.
- Drips: Primacor, amiodarone, dobutamine, heparin.
Special Requests:
- RTO requires nurse manager approval.
Unit Details:
- Intermediate/Step Down cardiac unit specializing in post-op coronary bypass graft, valve surgery, chest pain, dysrhythmia with pre/post pacemaker/AICD placement, pre/post Cath Lab, and CHF.
- Uses Plum ICU Medical IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, external pacers, and pulse generators.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- No call.
- Holidays based on unit needs.
Floating Requirements:
- Could float within scope of practice and below.
- Typically notified about 1 hour prior to shift beginning via Smart Square.
