You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- High-level PCU or ICU RN experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Unit Details:
- Newly opened PCU; ICU patients are anticipated.
- Universal suite; each room can function as a telemetry, PCU, or critical care bed based on the diagnosis and accommodation code.
- Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.
- Patient population includes Afib RVR, TAVR, post PCI, DKA, COPD/asthma exacerbations, stable vents, high FiO2 requirements, HF management, and renal failure.
- MS/Tele ratios 6:1; Critical Care 2:1.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements:
- Will care for MS/Tele, PCU, and/or critical care patients, with floating to these areas if low census; low-census floating may include CC (1:2-3 patients) or Med-Surg/Tele (1:5-6 patients).
