Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Two years of management of pediatric critical care patients in high acuity setting.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Critical care management of respiratory illnesses, sepsis, and DKA; pressure lines (primarily CVPs, arterial lines, some UAC/UVC); ventilated patients (HFOV, VDR, Servo); drips (epi, nor-epi, milrinone, dopamine, precedex); complex trauma patients (EVDs, Codmans, neuro assessments); and complex pediatric postop patients (congenital anomalies/craniofacial, tracheostomies, etc.).
Unit Details:
- Procedures performed on unit include Foley insertions, trans-pyloric feeding tubes, dressing changes (wound and CVL), and port access.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend requirements discussed during the interview.
- Call requirements discussed during the interview.
Floating Requirements:
- Travelers are first to float to NICU, CHSU, general pediatrics, and peds hem/onc units.
